Prioritisation
Three questions, in order. If a request fails the first one it does not reach the second, no matter how often it is asked.
Question 1
Does it help a student understand something faster? Not “is it impressive” — the AR is already impressive and that stopped being the point in week two.
Question 2
Does it work on hardware students already own? Anything that requires a purchase order is a different product.
Question 3
Can we hold 60 fps and the privacy line? Both are load-bearing. Neither gets traded for a feature.
Being explicit about what we are not building saves everyone time.
Leaderboards between students
Ranking a cohort publicly punishes the students the tool exists to help. Streaks and badges are private for the same reason.
Proctored, graded assessment
That would require identity verification and session monitoring — a surveillance posture incompatible with the privacy promise.
Cloud rendering of the workbench
It would let older phones run richer scenes, and it would mean streaming camera pose to a server. Not worth it.
A web version of the AR session
WebXR tracking quality is not close enough yet. The browser prototype covers evaluation; the lesson needs the native runtime.
Requests from teaching staff carry the most weight, especially with a concrete lesson attached.
